Pühajärve War Oak

You have to bring several people with you to measure the circumference of the ancient oak that is almost 400 years old. The diameter of the ancient tree at the height of 1.3 m is 210 cm, the circumference 6.6 m and the height of the tree is 20 m. It is called the War Oak because it has witnessed many historical events. Apparently, peasants of the Pühajärv Manor refused to work for the manor in autumn 1841 and the rebels were punished near the oak. A beautiful park with walking tracks surrounds the tree today.
